Counter Sales

Department: HAVERHILL INSIDE SALES
Location: Haverhill, MA

Counter Sales-$20-$25 an hour

Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a counter sales associate. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in HVAC or plumbing products, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

In this position, you will be a key point of contact for customers-answering inquiries, recommending products, processing transactions, and ensuring a clean, organized work environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with inventory management, stocking shelves, coordinating material transfers between branches and vendors, and maintaining accurate computer records.

The right candidate will enjoy problem-solving, working in a team-oriented environment, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior customer service, retail, or sales experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency required: HVAC or plumbing knowledge is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with product inquiries and purchases.
- Recommend products tailored to customers’ needs and preferences.
- Accurately process sales transactions and maintain computer records.
- Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe.
- Stay informed on products features, pricing, and availability.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and service targets.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and monitor industry trends.
